Catch up:  Milestone 1

In February 2010, my hometown team, the New Orleans Saints, made history. Super Bowl XLIV wasn’t just another game—it was a once-in-a-lifetime moment for Saints fans everywhere. And I was there to witness it live.

But that weekend wasn’t just about football for me. It marked a turning point in my career and planted the seeds for what would eventually become DCM Communications.

The Weekend of a Lifetime

As part of my role at BizBash Miami, I had the privilege of attending some of the most exclusive and creative events leading up to the Super Bowl. Brands pulled out all the stops, and I was right there in the middle of it all, soaking in the creativity, storytelling, and guest experiences.

Here’s a glimpse of what my weekend looked like:

➜ A Dewar’s sponsored lounge with bevs, hand massages, and a live cigar roller at a private mansion
➜ The Fan Zone on Ocean Drive, including the Bridgestone quarterback challenge activation
➜ Playboy’s annual poolside party
➜ GQ’s poolside party at the Bud Light Hotel, a weekend takeover of a Miami Beach property
➜ The Tide Sport launch party at the W Hotel South Beach

And so many more, all while functioning on little sleep as I followed each event with time at my laptop writing, editing and publishing the coverage of all the experiences brands had created for their guests.

From Career High to a New Horizon

To cap all of that off with a Saints win…oh man. In that moment when the confetti hit the field and my tears filled with pride & excitement, I KNEW.

I knew my job with BizBash in Miami had hit its peak.

It would soon be time to move on….which would lead me to Washington DC, where DCM Communications took further shape and would soon become an incorporated entity.
